Scot Scoop primarily uses three social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, and X, formerly known as Twitter. We have the most significant following on Instagram, with a little over 1,400 followers. Facebook and X have roughly 1,200 followers.

When looking at the age demographics on our platforms, I noticed that many of our followers are outside of high school. On Facebook, 34.4% of our followers are between the ages of 25 and 34, and 19.8% are between the ages of 45 and 54, meaning most of our followers are no longer in high school. With this, I assumed many of them were parents of students. On Instagram, our audience was significantly different, with 80.9% of the accounts we reached falling between 13 and 24 years old.

Given the diverse demographics of our followers, it's clear that a one-size-fits-all approach to communication would not suffice. Many of our followers, for instance, were unaware of our program awards. I took the initiative to post graphics across multiple platforms, aiming to inform our audience of our success and what each award recognized.
